Bobbie Lou Peede Shearin, 83, of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday, August 25, 2016.

Bobbie, a native of Beaufort County, NC was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster and Julia Flowers Peede. She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Franklin “Pete” Shearin.

Bobbie was a member of East Tenth Street Church of Christ, the Eastern Star, and was retired from Champion International Paper Company.

She is survived by her sons, Walter Franklin Shearin, Jr. and his wife, Lorrie of Bedford, IN, and Steven Wayne Shearin and his wife, Jennifer of Burgaw, NC; three grandchildren, Heather Overton, Jeremy Curtis Shearin, Kelsey Wade and her husband, Gary; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan Overton, Zachary Overton and Skyelyn Marie Wade.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services with Minister Dave Chapman officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
